Studio works are based upon the found object: steel, stone and wood . . .

" I gained my degree in sculpture at the University of Tasmania in 1988. Subsequent to this, I exhibited in several group shows and completed private commission work.

Most works in the past 15 years are small installations in remote places – on lake shores, riverbanks and mountainsides.

The prime concept underpinning my art practice is the relationship between environment, industry and development.

The Tasmanian natural and built environment holds much interest, especially the way it decays, either through the hand of humankind or the strength of nature.

Installations use the materials from the immediate vicinity of the work, and are often left to decay without any real documentation or audience."
