"Looking Back seeks to remind us of the different stages in our lives where difficult or critical decisions have to be forged. The seat of the chair appears to have re-emerged from the white painting, seemingly attracted to a distant light that symbolizes hope. It is learning, again, how to stand independently, yet cautiously clinging to the painting, reminded of its broken past and discarded fate by the cast shadow. Just as we are, driven by dreams, we are also bounded by fears from past experiences."
